All the doors that Doormatic supply and fit come with full manufacturer’s guarantees/warranties which vary between the door type and the manufacturer e.g. Cardale insulated Roller Garage Door Systems have a safe and reliable warranty for a period of 10 years. All electric garage door operators that Doormatic fit are guaranteed for 5 years and Doormatic guarantee any labour for 1 year.

Both our Guildford and Chalfont St Peter showrooms are open:

• Monday – Friday between the hours of 8.30 am – 5 pm

Doormatic ONLY use our own installers – we DO NOT sub-contract – and this allows us to guarantee our labour and to back up manufacturer warranties/guarantees.

Just like your car, a garage door will operate at its best when serviced on a yearly basis. An annual assessment allows our specialists to spot any potential issues or make suggestions on upkeep. The lead time varies depending on the door type and manufacturer but on average the lead time is 2 to 6 weeks from order to installation. Because we are one of the largest suppliers and fitters of garage doors and garage door automation in the South East, we can negotiate lead times of 1 week on some products.

It usually takes half a day for a single size door and a day for a large double size garage door.

To open your garage door when there’s been a power failure, first make sure your garage door is completely closed. After this, pull the emergency cord away from the garage door (red handled rope) to disconnect the door opener from the door itself. Then simply raise the garage door up manually, ensuring it can safely be held open on its own before doing anything else. Remember to re-engage the automatic settings when the power comes back on. Do this by pulling on the red cord once more, this time in the direction of the garage door.

We do charge to remove and dispose of the old door and this guarantees that the door is disposed of ethically and correctly – question the installer who does NOT charge and find out how and where they dispose of their doors… disposal is VERY expensive!

Whilst it is possible to keep an old track, we strongly recommend replacing your track when you replace your door. This way you can ensure that every element of your garage door system is completely safe and fully functional. Replacing the track will also guarantee that your warranty will apply should you experience any issues in the future.
